Anthurium Hybrid: anthurium red raspberry

(Anthurium Red Crystallinum NSE Tropicals x Anthurium ZaraxMichelle)

Anthurium Red Raspberry Red Crystallinum

More exciting than a collaboration between Rhianna and Beyonce, better looking than the offspring of Brad and Angelina, I present to you the babies of Anthurium "Red Crystallinum" and Anthurium "Zara x Michelle" , lovingly referred to on social media as the Batch ID #AnthuriumRedRaspberry because aint nobody got time to write out #anthuriumnseredcrystallinumxanthuriumzaraxmichelle and I didn’t want to name it Redzarallinum. These babies have royal lineage that puts baby Prince Archie to shame: my Red Crystallinum Mother Plant was purchased directly from Enid at NSE Tropicals, and the Father Plant from Doc Block via Tezula Plants.

Leaf Texure:

  • This hybrid has smooth velvety leaves like the parents.

    Leaf Color:

  • Emerging leaf colors vary from dark purple, bright raspberry magenta, deep red to brownish-red depending on the seedling. I have culled many of the brownish-red emergent leaf seedlings as they are not exhibiting the desired trait of a bright raspberry or purple emergent leaf color that I was breeding for.

  • All leaves end up maturing to a dark green color, the shade of which depends on the light it is growing under

Venation:

·      The veins are sparkly silver.

Petiole:

·      The petioles are D-shaped (flat on one side).
