Anthurium Hybrid: Anthurium Silver Fox

Anthurium Forgetii x Silver Blush

#Anthuriumsilverfox is the Batch ID I assigned to the hybrid Anthuriums created with my Anthurium Silver Blush as the pollen donor and fellow collector Jordan Hurd’s Dark Anthurium Forgetii as the seed parent, in 2021. You can search Instagram to find photos and videos of this hybrid.

Leaf Texure:

  • This hybrid has a smooth velvety leaf surface like both parents.

Leaf Color:

  • Emerging leaves are a gorgeous peachy-orange sunset color with light yellow-green veins just like the Silver Blush “dad”

  • Leaves harden off to a dark green like Forgetii mom

  • Leaf outline is pink

Venation:

  • The vein color on the emergent leaves are a glowing light yellow-green then harden off to sparkling silver

  • The leaf abaxial (bottom side) veins are not prominent in color and match the leaf color.

Petiole:

  • D-Shaped, winged petiole (fringes up top) that start off with red speckles then harden off to green.

Sinus:

  • By the 9th and 10th leaves on most plants, the sinus fused creating a leaf shape like that of the Forgetii!
