Alocasia Corm Propagation Vessel
Adorable alocasia corm propagation vessels, created by Sprouted Serenity. Vessels will come filled with the substrate of your choice. Each vessel creates a compact, humid environment to encourage your alocasia corm to sprout and grow roots.
Instructions:
Thread the wick through the bottom of the small inner cup
Fill the small inner cup with the semi-hydroponic substrate of your choice: Lechuza pon, fluval stratum and fine perlite work well.
Next, fill the base of the container with water roughly ½ inch high. It does not need to have nutrients in it, as the corm has everything it needs to grow inside of it. The wick will soak up moisture from below ensuring the corm receives the moisture it needs during the propagation period.
Place your propagation in a warm location that receives bright, indirect light. Wash and refill reservoir if needed.
After your corm sprouts, open the lid and allow it to continue to grow upwards into a new plant, or transfer it entirely into a new container to continue growing. Keeping the plant in a propagation box or bag to seal in humidity for the first leaf or two will maximize growth.
